Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) are specialized meeting room solutions that transform ordinary conference rooms into high-quality, collaborative spaces for hybrid work. They combine Microsoft Teams software with certified audio/video hardware (from vendors like Logitech, Poly, Yealink, Crestron, and others) to create seamless meeting experiences.
Device Mode
Device mode allows the endpoint (Poly, Yealink, Lifesize, Logitech) to act as a peripheral for another system, rather than running its own native client like Zoom or Teams Rooms.
In this mode, the device behaves like a USB accessory — similar to a webcam, microphone, and speaker — and relies on a connected computer or application for call control.
